Ruohonjuuri Tea Bags Are Microplastic Free | Ruohonjuuri
The Pukka tea series tea bags available at Ruohonjuuri are made of pulp, banana fiber and Manila hemp. The 100% biodegradable bags have an organic cotton cord and no staples. The wrappers of the tea bags have thinner paper than before (less packaging), and the bag is folded closed, not heat-treated. The material of the Pukka series tea packs is FSC-certified.

Clipper packaging can be 100% recycled Ruohonjuuri

Clipper tea bags (pillow bags) are made from Manila hemp, vegetable cellulose fibers, and biodegradable polyactide (PLA) made from renewable and non-genetically modified raw materials. The string bags are plant and wood cellulose based and do not use separate sealants: even the staples are omitted. Like the Pukka teas, the string of the Clipper bags is made of organic cotton. The protective paper and packaging of the tea bag are also fully recyclable. Both bags are plastic-free.

The Yogi tea series tea bags are made from 100% compostable fiber and also do not contain genetically modified ingredients, staples or glue. Yogi tea packaging does not contain any plastic and the material of the tea packaging is FSC certified.

English Tea Shop tea bags are made from plant-based manila fiber, which is fully compostable. The tea bags have cotton strings and their paper tags are FSC-certified paper. Tea bags are pressed closed without heat treatment or metal staples. Tea bag packaging is thin paper in order to reduce waste. English Tea Shop teas are packaged in FSC-certified cardboard packaging. After use, it is recommended to put tea packages in cardboard collection, while tea bags with strings can be placed in biowaste or home compost.
