Chia brings triumphant strength for a vigorous go!
Pureness Puhdistamo, Chia seed, 1 kg. These tiny chia seeds (Salvia Hispanica) have been used by the ancient Aztecs as a nutritious food.
Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and a protein and fiber-rich boost to enrich your diet. Chia seeds nourish your stomach and are also an important super seed in the diet of athletes and strength athletes.
In Mayan Indian language, chia means strengthening and empowerment. You too can build a stronger body!
Tip: Soak the seeds in water (or other liquid) for 15-60 minutes to make a super nutrient-rich, gel-like jelly that's perfect to spoon on its own or add to smoothies, yoghurts, porridge or muesli.
You can easily make a larger portion of chia jelly at a time, as the high antioxidant content of the seeds means it will keep well in the fridge for several days. Chia absorbs 9 times the amount of liquid.
To make chia jelly, place 1 dl of seeds in a liter jug and pour water or other liquid over the seeds. Stir occasionally, and you'll find that the seeds will swell to fill the whole jug.
